If you've read my otehr post, I have been there and am on the other side of the wall myself. I knew you either were a therapist or someone who's been involved in recovery. I reccomend that anyone who had an abused childhood read any of Dave Pelzer's books. I am currently readin A Man Named Dave and, honestly, as uncomfortable as it is to admit, I only in the last day or two have realized the value of letting go. It is not just as simple as saying "get over ot" which in my opinion is cruel and insensitive, but you don't need me to tell you that you are so right on the money!
