Re: Sugar cravings decreased
hmmmmmm.. my stevia is a white powder. I am a little disappointed in it. I thought it would tase more like sugar. When I read that it was 300 times sweeter than
Sugar I just assumed it would still taste like it. Its not bad just takes getting used to I guess.
I still keep junk in my house, I still like to have a bit of a treat now and again. I still have some cookies that have been in the cupboard for a few weeks now.. that is pretty amazing for me! My husband doesnt have a sweet tooth at all, lucky guy. I dont believe in depriving myself because I know that if I set out to not eat something I wont be able to stop thinking about it until I eat it and then of course I will beat myself up after wards. That is not a health way to live. This 3 hour diet has really taught me what 'moderation' really means though. I feel so bad when I read peoples posts whether they are fasting or on a particular diet and they eat something "wrong" they feel this guilt and disappointment. That way of thinking is not healthy and this added stress is worse than what they are eating. I remember being a part of a rawfood forum and people there were very extreme about this diet. It was actually a lifestyle. Many people were militant about what was considered raw and what wasnt and some even felt that if you werent 100% raw then you were not a raw foodist. It is kind of laughable now but I do feel sorry for those people who get stressed over eating something 'forbidden. Diets are not religions, you dont go to hell for eating a chocolate bar.
My friend wants to do this herb diet where you take suppliments and I think you also replace a meal or two with shakes. On top of that you need to cut down your carbs and replace them with healthier carbs. I can see it being a disappointment but I wont say anything to her because she seems very excited and a bit desparate, bless her.
How ofetne do you take your Vit C? Do you take large doses?
