do you pick and choose what sounds good in the bible?

I evaluate what I think ought to be taken literally or as historical fact.

If it sounds believable you take it face value...if it sounds too much like something God could do....although unbelievable...you think it's not literal?

That would not be my line of thinking.

What is the point about him being God then?

The question only applies, that I can see, if one believes that every (or at least most) word in the Bible is written by God.  I do not believe this.

If you think he has a mind like us?

I don't think he does.

We are nothing comparable to him. He can do anything.

I am aware of that.
