Re: Chronic scalp folliculitis

Hey guys, it's me again (the person who created this thread 6 years ago).

I just wanted to write a little update after all those years. So I haven't been able to get rid of this miserable disease completely (tried every Antibiotic and supplement available), but at least I am able to control it to a great extent (95%, and sometimes 100% of the scalp is clear) with the help of a...cheap veterinary shampoo - yes, you heard it right.

The shampoo's ingredients are as follows: 2.5% benzoyl peroxide, 1% sulfur, 1% salicylic acid, vitamin E. I wont mention its name (because I don't want to advertise any particular brand), but you can buy a large bottle of this shampoo on Amazon for around 12 bucks.

The only downside of this product is the fact that you have to protect your eyes (very important) and clothes (it can bleach them) during the application of shampoo.

The good news is that you dont have to use it everyday, 3 times weekly should keep the condition under control.
