Re: Best Scam ever...
I just clicked on this. It is really long. Hopefully I can read it in more detail later. Time only permitted a skim right now. It looks like subject matter that we have debated before, but one thing did catch my eye that I wanted to comment on.

You said: "If the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words (Romans 8:26) which I've seen used to explain the prayer language of tongues, then it isn't us praying, it's the Holy Spirit praying, and there is no language at all in those times because it says the groanings of the Holy Spirit cannot be expressed in words."

I actually agree with you here. I do not believe groanings is the same as speaking in tongues for the same reason you gave. I also believe that because of my personal observations. I know people who have groaned in the Spirit. It did not have anything to do with tongues. I have never done this so I am going on observation of others and talking to people who have this experience. They say a supernatural groaning comes on them. If they try to make it happen in the flesh they can tell it is not real from the Holy Spirit. It is given by the Holy Spirit at times of His choosing. I have heard taught many times, as well, that Romans 8:26 refers to tongues. It just doesn't make sense because the Bible says the groanings of the Holy Spirit cannot be expressed in words. Having said that I still believe and know that people are speaking in real tongues from the Holy Spirit today. I believe in tongues which is prayer language even as the Apostle Paul did. He said he prayed in the Spirit and with his understanding. I won't take the time to hunt up the verse now. I'm sure you know it anyway. I also believe in the tongues which is one of the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit. I believe that tongue is different and is referring to the kind that is a message from God and needs an interpretation.
