Re: Best Scam ever...

Rainy, it doesn't matter if Justin Peters or John MacArthur think you are saved or not. I listened to a sermon by John MacArthur a while back and left thinking that he wouldn't say I was saved either. :)

But that's alright. You know why? Because our salvation is not based on what others think. And I know you know that. Jesus is the judge, and no one else!

According to Benny Hinn, it takes the same faith to be healed, as to be saved, so if you are not healed, you need to question whether you are actually saved. So only those healed can be assured of salvation in Benny's mind. That's kind of crazy, right? Or not?

Justin Peters, from what I've heard him say, did at one time believe that he could be healed by the "healers" out there. So he went on a mission to get healed. He went to tons of healing crusades. Joni Eareckson Tada did this same thing. So they both believed, they both had faith, that they could be healed by the "healers". But it was after many failed attempts and disappointments and seeing all the other distraught people after each event turning back to go home, and then seeking God for the truth, that they came to see that they had been mislead. So yes, at the time you are talking about, when Justin Peters went to the Benny Hinn crusade and was turned away, he didn't believe Benny Hinn was going to be his healer that night. He knew better at that point. But he did want to show that people like him, with very visible afflictions that can't be easily faked as a true healing, will be turned away. Those men that blocked Justin from going to the front did not know who he was.

But what I believe didn't come from Justin Peters or John MacArthur. I believed what I believe long before I knew who either of them was. And I also have my disagreements with them, but for different reasons than you.
