Re: The Sinners Prayer: Does it Save You?

Well I am talking about people's life circumstances because the Holy Spirit blows wherever.

John 3:8 The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit."

You can not predict when a person will be "born again". There is no perfect order of things being done. Just like when I told JB about me coming to the Lord...I did not say the sinner's prayer before the Spirit blew His way to me...that came later...as well as baptism. For some people it is the other way around. I was not expecting that to happen to me, but it changed my life forever.

What makes me special you ask? Perhaps my prayer, asking God to reveal Himself to me?

Jeremiah 33:3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

As far as those that do not seem to know Jesus because they are swept away by other beliefs or other cares of this world. All I know is that I can read curezone and I have been doing that for years...can read the same people's writings for all those years and you can hear within those stories of how the Spirit was calling them...but they did not heed the voice.

The bible says faith comes by hearing, and hearing the word of God.

The Parable of the Great Banquet

Luke 14

15 When one of those at the table with him heard this, he said to Jesus, “Blessed is the one who will eat at the feast in the kingdom of God.”

16 Jesus replied: “A certain man was preparing a great banquet and invited many guests. 17 At the time of the banquet he sent his servant to tell those who had been invited, ‘Come, for everything is now ready.’

18 “But they all alike began to make excuses. The first said, ‘I have just bought a field, and I must go and see it. Please excuse me.’

19 “Another said, ‘I have just bought five yoke of oxen, and I’m on my way to try them out. Please excuse me.’

20 “Still another said, ‘I just got married, so I can’t come.’

21 “The servant came back and reported this to his master. Then the owner of the house became angry and ordered his servant, ‘Go out quickly into the streets and alleys of the town and bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind and the lame.’

22 “‘Sir,’ the servant said, ‘what you ordered has been done, but there is still room.’

23 “Then the master told his servant, ‘Go out to the roads and country lanes and compel them to come in, so that my house will be full. 24 I tell you, not one of those who were invited will get a taste of my banquet.’”

The first group of people were invited and chose not to come. Then others were compelled to come..the poor, the crippled, the blind and the lame.

So don't try and tell me that the word "world" is not the correct word that the bible should use in John 3:16. This scripture as well tells us that the Holy Spirit goes to all sorts of people and that some are invited and some are compelled to join the wedding supper of the Lamb.

What makes me special? I heard the voice of the Lord and I was compelled by Love to accept the invitation.
