The point here is that the bible tells us to do these things. If a person does not understand that Jesus paid the price for our sins and we have nothing to do with the act of salvation on the cross then that person is in error and they need to come to a better understanding of the fact that Jesus wants a personal relationship with them.
If a person is made to think it dangerous to do the things God's word asks us to do and they end up not doing them...they are in error as well. This is a personal journey between each person and God. All those that God knows that will one day be His and will follow Him, will come to Him in a different order and a different timing. No one's story will be exactly the same, but we do know what the bible says and we each will be accountable by our decision. God could not hold us accountable if we did not have a part in all of this. Jesus made a "Way" for us to be saved...He didn't force us to go His direction. He gently pours out His love and calls to us. Our part is to choose Jesus as our Savior.
Romans 14:11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
