I have no hope of trying to be perfect, it is a failed endeavor before it is even started. In some sense I agree that we should strive to be like Jesus, but to me it has much less to do with striving and much more to do with surrendering.

I do believe that Jesus can perfect our hearts if we surrender to Him completely and let go of everything that we try to do. For me, it is the opposite of trying, it is complete surrender. And I do believe that if we do that, we will be perfect in Him, because He is perfect. Our actions may not be perfect as judged by man, but our hearts and intent will be perfect if it is in Him. I don't know if I will attain this in this life, and I don't know for certain if it is even possible, but I do believe that it is possible. I believe that with Christ anything is possible.

Do you believe that Christ has the power to perfect a person's heart so that they bear nothing but good fruit while they are still living on this earth?
