Re: So many people... quote

If you expect to walk in the Spirit perfectly 24 hours a day, I think you will be very disappointed and a failure as a christian...how sad for you. For if you think that God will not expect you to speak up against evil with righteous anger at times then you would be mistaken. It's not a matter of being a ride the fence...nicety nice christian all the time. For some reason people think we are Jesus, when we are really Matthews, Marks, Lukes, Johns, Pauls, Lydias, Marthas, Marys. Did they fit Jesus perfectly? At times yes and other times no. They actually had the real visual reminder of what Jesus was like.

Again I say, we should all strive to be more like Jesus with the help of the Holy Spirit, but if you expect to be Jesus/perfection, which is what you sound like you are saying, you will only fail. You yourself even said you could not name a single person alive that you know that has the fruit of the Holy Spirit all the time. So why is this so hard for you to understand? Our covering/perfection comes from Christ and what He did for us as a gift. However, we should seek His power especially when we are weak or in doubt.

So I hope you now understand my meaning of "'We are only sinner's saved by grace...nothing more'"

The poisoning comes from the false doctrine that people share that works against the saving grace of salvation. Feeding His sheep is making sure they are led to salvation and to support their spiritual needs when they are weak. And as I said before, one person can not take care of the whole world's needs, so that is why we love our neighbors and love them as we love ourselves. Of course God also tells us when our neighbor is someone along our path as well...much like the good Samaritan story. Anyone and everyone may be our neighbor. But think how much better it all would work if everyone loved their neighbors. Even if it was just their actual neighbor that lived on both sides of them. Just think how much better our world would be if they only did that. I'm afraid we will only see the perfect work of the Spirit when Jesus returns for most people are too busy to care about their neighbors needs.

Trust and go step by step in faith to the Father in the name of Jesus Christ.
