Re: How to have motivation to fast and not be beaten down by cravings?

Time is so long. Just trying to skip breakfast here and time seems to stretch itself. New thought: my stomach is not my God. Seems to work except I have to deal with time. Was just reading PsyBlog. That empty feeling in my stomach feels so good, no sarcasm. I have made using my tablet my ritual after waking because Dr. Bill Crawford suggested having a morning ritual like taking a shower or having breakfast, just something. My morning ritual is ten times longer than a shower or breakfast. But I just read on PsyBlog that rituals make later things enjoyed more, like if you have a specific way of breaking chocolate without unwrapping, and then unwrap half, eat it, then unwrap other half. The chocolate has been shown to be savored more. Christmas rituals too.

One fact about Christmas is that you are happier buying things for others rather than yourself.
