Thank you so much for this. It's so nice reading someone that understands and how doctors in the US don't know too much about the adrenals or Addison's disease. I haven't taken an ACTH stimulation test, but i did take the ACTH test. My ACTH was low and cortisol was normal... but i'm still not so sure because it was taken at 2pm, when its taken best in the morning. I've had just one ACTH test done, and thats why im a little pissed off bc the doctors aren't looking into it and just stopped from there. I want to look further and take more ACTH tests so I'm waiting for an appointment with a different endocrinologist. I have been researching for 2 years now, and got sick of doctors not knowing what the problem was...so i decided to go with how i feel and what i really think the issue is.. I had to find an endocrinologist and at my first appointment, i told him i wanted an ACTH test because i think i have addisons disease. He laughed and wanted to know why on earth would i think that, and i told him that i have all the symptoms and how adderall fatigues your adrenal glands. After the ACTH test, he never really mentioned much, just prescribed me hydrocortisone. I took it for a month but stopped bc it made me sleepy and i didn't want my body to depend on it yet until i know whats really wrong with me. It's hard to make a doctor care and actually listen to me.
