Sleepiness after eating is probably too much fat with the meal. Fat slows digestion. Doesn't mix well with carbs either. Makes blood Sugar higher by blocking glucose absorption into cells. Foods high in cellulose (raw carrots or cruciferous veggies) or combining to many ingredients together can also be hard on digestion. Depends how strong your digestion is.
I eat tons of fruit all day long until evening when I'll either have a giant salad of cooked meals that would otherwise cause me to feel tired after. Best have your fat in the evening when you're already winding down.
