Re: Need help, not sure if leaky gut, symptoms are terrible.
Lots of bananas and dates. A moderate amount of apples even though, as you mentioned too, they aren't recommended for Vata types -- I do like eating the seeds to dispel the myth they apples seeds will poison you! Strawberries, grapes, frozen blueberries (much cheaper), papaya, and kiwi. I'm still expanding my fruit choices. Was brainwashed to think too much fruit is bad for you and fruit also didn't fair well with me when I was suffering from Toxic Hunger. Will be eating a fair amount of oranges soon as our winter orange tree is almost ready. Then lots of plums, apricots, and blackberries in spring. Excited about the apricots because of the "B17" in the pits (watch the documentary "World Without Cancer" on youtube).
Was it a slow crash, or immediate crash and takes you days/weeks to come out of it? I read a lot of people say they crash, be never asked what they actually meant be it. I always assumed it felt like their adrenals gave out.
Mostly white rice because easier to digest than brown. I was concerned I could have intestine inflammation/leaky gut, but I started including cooked oats and feel no problems with it. Eat red lentils and mung beans, the few recommended legumes for Vatas. If anything, they cause a bit more gas, but everything seems to cause gas in me which tells me my digestion is just really screwed up. I'll have the above for a couple days straight from finished the batches I cooked, then eat potatoes or sweet potatoes for a couple of days straight with veggies of course.
I can't help but feel you've gone down the wrong path thinking
parasites and especially flukes. I've seen a ton of people on here think they have
parasites or flukes and haven't seen really any success stories of feeling better trying to rid them. If
parasites were so prevalent in causing illness, I'd think I see a lot of success stories on here. I only see a lot frustration, tons of money wasted, and a lot of
parasite cleansing ads here, if you know what I mean.
Liver flukes are very rare in the U.S. according to the CDC
http://www.cdc.gov/parasites/fasciola/gen_info/faqs.html
and if by the slightest chance you had them, they say it's very easily treatable with one or two doses of Triclabendazole. I can see why a lot of people think they might have them since the symptoms are very similar to things like fatty liver, something that's very prevalent these days.
I do agree with you though that I think candida problems are mostly overblown here. It's just my opinion of the above and hope I don't offend. Just hate to see people going down the wrong path. I think bad diets are the biggest cause of illness around here. It was for me.
Yes I do think I have gallstones. Been taking a supp called Ichol Plus which has helped (and one of the only supps that ever felt like it worked for me). Going to try to get an ultrasound soon to double check and see how big stones are which I'll then try a
Liver Flush if it is stones but they don't look too big. Otherwise there's a couple of prescription drugs for dissolving stones which would be the rare occasions I'd warrant trying pharma drugs.
