Clear example of bad advice

This is a clear example of bad advice (in most of the comments).

The question was:

Quote: "I severely sprained my left ankle, I basically cant put any weight on it, so I will be out of commission at least for a couple weeks.

Will Water Fast will help speeding the healing process?"

The correct answer is no. Providing the body with the appropriate nutrition to heal the injury is best for healing. Starving the body of these nutrients will result in healing taking longer.

It is important to take the condition of the person into consideration when prescribing a treatment. Fasting is beneficial in certain situations. Some people assume that makes it beneficial in all situations. But it is not. You need to take the condition of the person into consideration.

I understand how people can think that way, as fasting is beneficial in other situations. These people have just not considered that this situation is difficult.

If you want to venture into the ridiculous, read the comment:

"If you drink a glass of urine the pain and swelling will reduce very markedly within about 15 mins."

All I can say is, this is ridiculous.

I know saying these things will not make me popular, but somebody needs to tell the truth.
