Re: No No No No No
... Sorry, somehow I pressed a wrong button.
Not to say that I am 100% sure on injury repair, if better when fasting. It is a subject, bringing a lot of anxiety in my mind, since this is my main source of suffering for the last 20 years.
First: resorting to rest, while still eating did NOT bring for me full recovery on most instances. I have ligament deficit in joints that I injured. Had I fasted, maybe I would have had better results.
Second: a Bulgarian pioneer in fruit fasting, Lydia Kovatcheva, broke a hip in her 70-ies. As a rule of thumbs, a bone heals for about the number of days corresponding to the age of a person. I.e. 15 year old will heal a bone in about 15 days, 70 y.o. - in about 70 days. Broken hips in "elderly" often NEVER heal. Lydia started a fruit fast "to healing", combined with bed rest. (The book does not give information if she had "spica" or other sort of immobilization; I assume she had). Her bone healed completely around day 26 ... Very impressive! It is noteworthy that she was on the lighter side of the scale before starting that fast. The pictures in her authored book show her as someone having BMI around 18-19. She had successfully cured lung tuberculosis in her 30-ies, a disease initially treated conventionally with mo results. She cured it with fruit and juice fasts.
I believe that
Water Fast is a way to go for acute (and chronic) injuries. It is important to have the anatomical elements - bones and soft tissues - aligned, though, in order to induce healing in proper position. I.e. I recommend 1. X-rays and 2. good chiropractor, for signs of joint "subluxation" and "hypermobility - hypomobility complex" undetectable by X-rays.
