Re: No No No No No
am,
the healing process is always accelerated on a water-only fast and not the opposite as you have stated.
All of the energies of the body including digestive energy are utilized for this purpose.
It has been estimated that a fasting body uses about five percent of its normal daily energy budget on nutritional concerns, rather than the 33 percent it needs to process new food. Therefore,
Water Fasting puts something like 28 percent more energy at the body"s disposal. This energy is of course healing energy.
Healing means repairing damaged organs and tissues, and this takes energy, so if a sick/injured person can increase their bodily energy resources sufficiently, then a slowly healing body heals faster than would otherwise be the case.
This is not to say that external nutrition does not play a vita part as of course it will post-fast.
I am also certain there is a great deal of merit in urine fasting as wateroflife has mentioned, so something we may all wish to explore. I still have reservations about drinking my own urine (or anyone elses for that matter !!) but wateroflife has convinced me otherwise.
