Re: hot water on eczema euphoria phenom; anyone?
Hi everyone,
I was diagnosed with eczema a few days after birth, and every since have tried everything possible to get rid of it
-wet wrap technique (ichopaste (not sure of spelling its pronounced ick-tho-paste i havnt used it since i was a child- basically ichopaste underneath, bandages over the top, take them off after a couple of days. it does help but doesnt competely heal the skin. really aggrivating as you cant scratch what is itching)
- also a chinese medicine that i cant remember the name of. I was a lot younger and my eczema was very severe. it was a trial only a trial but at the time i couldnt wear a school uniform as the tightness and cheap materials would leave me in hives and make me scratch till i bled.
-hydrocortizones- they worked but left my skin really thin and brittle after.
im still looking for something to cure my eczema, but the short relief i get from it is using a HOT HAIR DRYER. i know its not good for my skin, but i think only eczema sufferers understand how annoying the condition is. you try and ignore it, it doesnt go away. a hot hair drier really relieves it, and i put loads of emolliant on after and it feels okay. the worst thing is when your itchy and someone says dont scratch. ahhh.
