Re: hot water on eczema euphoria phenom; anyone?
Hello John.
Its a bit difficult to explain how the condition is manifeting with me, mostly because it is very erratic and seems to be alternating between at least 3, maybe 4 different cycles. The first cycle is the easy one - this is when the rash appears. Sometimes the rash appears and then goes away. Sometimes the rash progresses to the second cycle - the intense itch cycle. This then often leads into the next phase that seems to involve both inflamation and spreading. Some of the welts get very red and raised, almost like small burn blisters. But there are other welts that are different, they are smaller, and have a rough feel to them, and they feel harder. Last but not least, there sometimes is a 4th phase - the oozing phase. Sometimes it just weeps a little, like tear drops. Other times it is more heavy flow and the liquid has a yellowish color to it... this might be lymph drainage for all I know. When it starts to ooze, it might ooze only from a few isolated locations, but other times it oozes from all over. I've been wrapping the leg with gauze the past two weeks because I do not want to be oozing directly onto clothing. Eventually some of the streaks of ooze to dry and get crusty, light brown. The worst part is that I have seen all these cycles occur, and then repeat, and repeat again :(
Most recently, all of the above has been occuring on the lower leg, mostly affecting the entire calf and shin, and a bit of ankle. Just as this situation was starting to clear up, I then broke out with much smaller rashes all over the body. This part is something new. Prior to this, everythign I've been dealing with has been below the knees.
