Re: Happy with cavitation surgery
Hi Everyone,
Here I am, 16 months after my last post. I finished the 6 weeks of IV Invanz in mid-December 2009. The oral surgeon who had prescribed it wondered if I really should have 12 weeks instead of only 6 weeks, but I really needed to move from New England to the South. My husband had moved November 1st and I only stayed behind for the treatment.
I've been a Southerner for over a year now and love it. I felt immensely better during and after the IV Invanz, certain that it had not only cured the osteomyelitis, but also the chronic Lyme disease. Been feeling great.
BUT . . . in February 2011, I developed
Acne on my lower left jawbone over the previous infection site. In the prior flare ups, this has been the very first symptom. Been treating it as a topical problem, having forgotten that it was a signal of the bone infection flaring up. Now, in mid-March, the next tooth in line in my jaw is sensitive, the gum is swelling, and I have that funny tingling abcess feeling in my gum. Looks like I have to find a new team of doctors to try to resolve this before it takes over my life again. Damn....been feeling so good.
BTW: Cardiac arrythmia that had resolved during the Invanz treatment, slowly returned and is quite troubling at times. Tests show mildly leaky valves, but nothing "treatable". The PAC and PVC arrythmias did not show up on tests, even though my heart felt like it was pounding itself against my ribs. 200mg CoQ10 twice a day is the only thing keeping it under control. Why is it that M.D.'s don't see a connection between my symptoms and think they are merely separate and coincidental?
Will keep you posted on this new phase of discovery and treatment. Wish me luck . . .
