But it's not raw OR organic??? [+edit] Re: wow - try REAL vinegar! Bragge's is a scam!
I'm not questioning what you've reported you experienced, but according to what I've seen on the site, these vinegars are not organic and they're not raw...which means:
--they're adding some level of toxins to the body with every serving (non-organic grapes are particularly high in pesticides/herbicides)
--and eliminating a substantial amount of benefits (from not being raw).
--since they're 'grape vinegar' they have none of the benefits of apple cider vinegars (particularly the high malic acid content that's so beneficial).
Balsamic vinegars are always smoother with less "bite"...some are phenomenally 'rich & sweet' - and you should be able to find a wide selection of organic balsamics (if that's a concern).
In fact, balsamic vinegars are traditionally made & aged with the same love & care (and obsession! lol) as many wines. Recently when buying my annual round of organic pecorino sardo (cheese, that I use for pesto), I stumbled across this fine selection:
http://purelyorganic.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=25&zenid=8vlg6m6sm9f...
WOW, a bit pricey for my pocketbook, but I'd love to have an ounce to sample. (I have to save up all year for the round of cheese! lol)
Also, because of the aging process & sweet/mild factor (and the fact that many start as wine or grape must), the alcohol content can be as high as 6%...some ARE higher This site says the alcohol content is AT LEAST 6%:
>>>The process of maturation lasts for at least 10 years; the product has an alcohol content of at least 6°<<<

This site shows 3-6%

Because of their high sugar/alcohol content, balsamic vinegars are not allowed on many low carb diets. I would guess that those created "traditionally" (and those that are sweeter/smoother) would have highest alcohol content.
...of course a 6%+ alcohol content, could account for the 'warmth' you experienced.
Unless I've overlooked something (like the word "organic" - a site-search yields only a handful of organic oils, and I see no mention of it on any of the balsamics I clicked on), then what you experienced aside, these vinegars do NOT contain the health benefits of even the cheapest of organic, raw apple cider vinegars.
'Sorry to be a 'wet rag' on your new find (I love balsamic vinegars, and have 4 different kinds of dark, and one white)...but after much research I learned their health benefits are marginal. [edit - by "marginal" I don't mean to imply that balsamic vinegar doesn't have health benefits, only that my research shows less benefits than raw acv...but obviously, I may not have researched it nearly as much as others have]
