Some belief systems..

...kill other beings.

War
Carnivores
etc

Also it's not a matter of "good or bad. it's a matter of harmony vs disharmony. I think consciousness may prefer harmony, especially if the experiential aspect of this is fleshed out, literally, in terms of pain and pleasure.

Imagine if you will that you were locked into a stockade against your will to await your demise. A harmonious experience? I 'believe" that conscious beings must act responsibly especially in regards to the affectation of the unnecessary suffering of other beings. It is also a judgment to ignore these sensibilities.

Judgment is an integral part of the human experience. We "judge" when it's safe to cross the street and in this way we make judgments to bring about harmony over disharmony. Judgment is how we make our conscious maps.

"Judgment" can be seen as an informational form of check and balances within the context of the grander informational matrix. The word judgment then is interchangeable with the word choice.

The term judgment has gotten a bad wrap by the same crew that thinks ego is a "bad:" thing' Ego is a necessary function of consciousness as is judgment (choice).
