Re: Remember Dr. Martin Luther King?EDIT
I'm sure when you think about it, you don't really want to pass legislation requiring 'politically correct' dress:)

Oh, and I tried to vote no to your post because I disagree, and that got erased, so not everybody agrees with you:)
I bet you didn't think this one completely through.
Why on earth does wearing clothes required by a religious faith undermine women's rights? How about the Hari Krishnas? Or the Mormons? (They have to wear garments, special underwear that for a long time was considered protective of evil.)
Or make the Menonites shave off their beards, or the Amish join the 20th century? Or make the Hassidic jews wear something other than black? Both Menonite women and Amish women wear those wierd little hats because they have to keep their heads covered, because of their religious beliefs, can't have that.
Then we've got the pagans who don't wear anything. And the Catholics, where the Nun's wear habits which were standard women's wear at the time of Christ. And there are people like the Navajo, where traditional women's dress is modeled after what the officers wives wore in the 1880's.
And what are you going to do about drag queens and exotic dancers? They don't wear enough clothing, and it's too sexy, so that could be construed as anti-womens rights.
I could go on forever, I'm just puzzled. I thought that our country was founded so that we could have freedom of religion.
I thought that women's right's meant that we could decide for ourselves what we could do with our lives, including practicing a religion?
What on earth am I missing?
