"Air sounds good....exercise helps with cravings??"
Absoulutely, for me anyway. I think just the time you spend away from food, exercising and doing something good for your body, makes you think twice about putting that bad piece of whatever in your mouth. As Mouseclick mentioned, I've lost 94 Lbs through fasting. When fasting for weight loss, everyday takes a conscious effort to CHOOSE not to eat. It really is a choice and it's YOUR choice. Once I took responsibility for my actions and the situation I had gotten myself into by making bad food choices in the past, I was able to move forward and make postive choices. Once the weight starts coming off (and it comes off very quickly) it gives you more motivation to continue. The hard part for most people comes after the fast. You need to change the way you eat and make healthy food choices or you will gain the weight back. But I have no doubt you can do it if you set your mind to it. And of course, this forum is here to support you the whole way!
