When I first attempted a Water Fast I kept telling myself throughout the first days that I could only have water. I couldn't have anything else. I have since found it is easier to control the desire to eat by telling myself that I can eat if I want to. I can eat anytime I want to eat but I CHOOSE not to eat. I remind myself it is my choice to fast. I also remind myself of the reasons that I am fasting to begin with. To cleanse my body of toxins, for better health, for spiritual reasons....and it works for me. Until I found and starting reading this forum daily I was not able to complete a fast. It helps me to read and feel the support that is given here. Thanks to everyone for their posts and sharing.
