I'm very glad to know you were not testing me but I hope you understand why I would think you were. My first few posts were read by you as negative statements and you then tried to correct my thinking by telling me that I was a predator/hero/not having the Holy Spirit and such. In stead of getting mad at you I then asked God to check my heart and show me any motives that I didn't know existed (so I could then do something about it). We then continued to discuss our beliefs and we came to a better understanding of each other. So what really changed here? We are still the same people we started out to be with the same beliefs except you now believe that I'm not all of those things that you first thought. What was needed here...discernment, patience....LOVE!
What I get from all of this is that if we want to show true christian love for each other we must take the time to discuss and do it in a civilized manner. No name calling, no jumping the gun with judgements. Just discussion and much prayer until the subject matter has been exhausted. Just think how far we could go in creating peace in the world if we all did this.
I think if we just give people a chance to share their thoughts and question reasonably, we will see that we are more in agreement than not. :)
