Re: A Mother Asked

Jesus may have laid down his life for his friends, but he did not lay down his life in order that his side of a cause be won. He did not lay his life so that members of his "team" could continue to murder members of the other side. He had no sides. To me, the world means just that - the whole entire planet. Not us vs. them, but US, all of us, period. Jesus saw everyone as his brother. To equate Jesus with war seems like just another way those who are otherwise religious/spiritual can justify war or their hate for their fellow man, because otherwise, the two would be absolutely incongruous.
