Re: Jesus Prays for His Disciples EDITED

There was no test, I don't "test" people. No doubt, there are many people who believe they have the right to do such things (and some kind of qualifications), that is because they are judgemental and full of themselves (they set themselves up as judge and have the ego to go with it). That is a good example of the modern idea of "Christianity". People forget that the goal is to be a GODLY Christian. I'm sorry you got the idea that I had designs on you and condescended to use and manipulate you. No one has the right to "test" ANYONE in their personal relationship/devotion to God, (not pastors or anyone at all). This is why modern Christianity is in such a sad state, people today think that others should measure up to THEIR standards (and they even use the bible and "holy speak" to press their case and get "a piece of you" (a very ungodly thing to do). It is no one's business to pass judgement or approve of your PERSONAL relationship...

Christianity wasn't ever much better than it is now, but at least people used to have more respect for each other. The world never understood the folly/insuffiency of the "Command/sin/text/faith" doctrine. Pastors and fellow churchgoers would not encourage an independent attitude such as keeping your faith between yourself and God (it would put pastors out of business and remove their power). In Revelation, the institutional churches of man are spoken of as a scarlet woman, and God says "Come out of her, my people LEST you share in her sins...".

We (each one of us, individuals) are SOVEREIGN (accountable to SELF/conscience) before The Lord (initially accountable to our conscience and ultimately accountable to God). Adam and Eve ate of the tree of CONSCIENCE (the importance of conscience/SELF)...without conscience, we can cause harm to our personal relationship (our own "faith").

NO ONE has the right to "test" ANYONE or think of others as LESS than themselves, we are to think of each as BETTER than ourselves.
