Week 19 Results
a step backwards
Date: 5/11/2009 1:04:11 AM ( 15 y ) ... viewed 2041 times Well, I actually gained a pound this week, which I can't quite understand since I am severely restricting my carb intake. The only thing I can figure is I started a bulking supplement in order to put on more lean muscle. That coupled with the fact that I'm taking casein protein before going to bed may be the reason I saw no weight loss this week. It's not a total loss however as that one pound gain was mainly lean muscle that was added, and not fat. I started this 21 day bulking cycle so I am not inclined to stop it at this point. I'll stick to what I'm doing all around for another week and see how I fair next Sunday. If my weight is still not moving, then I'll reexamine what it is I'm doing. I have upped my cardio a bit to burn more calories and am now right around 1.5 grams of protein per pound of body weight, which is to say, 300 grams a day. This is needed if I want to add lean muscle mass. I did cheat a bit this weekend as far as my diet is concerned, not much, so that is probably a contributing factor as well. Anyway, I'm not discouraged and am sticking with the game plan. Here are this weeks results.
