Week 17 Results
It's time to go to extreme fat-cutting mode
Date: 4/27/2009 1:51:18 AM ( 15 y ) ... viewed 3711 times The last few weeks my weight loss has slowed significantly. To be honest, I'm getting frustrated. After some serious consideration this weekend, I determined that my protein and carbohydrate intake was off and I needed to reevaluate my diet. As of last Saturday, I have embarked on an extreme fat-cutting diet. I don't want to give the specifics this week until I can see the results next Sunday. If I see some movement in my weight, and more specifically in my body fat, I'll reveal what it is I'm doing. My calories are still around 2000 a day so it's not like I'm going down to 800 calories or something, which would only slow my metabolism and burn less fat. I've done some nutritional research on fat cutting for body builders, so I think I'm on the right track. I am still getting up early and doing my morning cardio on an empty stomach, and I have decided to add High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) three of four afternoons a week. I've done it once already and it's pretty extreme. I do a good warm up on the treadmill for five minutes then for the next 10 minutes, I speed walk 30 seconds and sprint 30 seconds, speed walk 30 seconds and sprint 30 seconds, etc. I then do a five minutes cool down. It really gets the heart pumping. Here are the week 17 stats. I'm hoping that next week I'll finally be under 200.
