I have been telling my friends for years about the dangers of Alkalizing water. The biggest thing is that is concentrates any of the elements in the water. So if you are using city water, and you do not purify the water before it hits the alkalizing machine, you are concentrating the flourine and chlorine! NorthStar, Chris’ units do the whole house, so that would cover your shower. They look similar to Utopic Water units, but don’t know if they work the same way. I had to stop drinking Prill water again after getting loose bowels from it again. with my borderline low magnesium levels, loose bowels can really screw me up. I was giving it to my 2 cats too and I think it caused them to get diarrhea that took a week of avoiding Prill to go away. I use it on plants and I add it to dilute dish detergent and Dr Bronner’s liquid soap. Seems to work good on this. They sell a 2 pound Prill sack to wash clothes in. If that’s the case then this is much different than simply working by ”magic.” Her/his post was the first I’d heard of this though. All the web sites I’ve seen for Prill do say they work by ”magic.” Anecdotal evidence, such as the cleansing of Lake Mead in Nevada via Prill water and people’s personal experiences, however, do seem to indicate that Prill beads are authentic.   [End]

You are right about drinking too alkaline water. I’ve been reading about the blood type diet and blood type A’s are more likely to have low stomach acid (which contributes to stomach cancer). Two of my great grandparents drank water with baking soda every day and they both died of stomach cancer. Because of their ancestry, I’m pretty sure they were blood type A’s.   [End]

I was reading about some people on one of these forums that supposedly lost fillings due to drinking a lot of Prill water - like 2 - 3 quarts a day for years. It makes me wonder if perhaps drinking a little Prill water a day might be a much better idea. I recently found that drinking Prill water no longer seems to give me loose bowels, possibly due to mercury chelation I’ve done. So, am drinking Prill water again, but not a ton of it. Prill beads are nothing more than common zeolites. Zeolites are used as catalysts in some reactions and are used to purify some substances like gases and water due to their high surface area. It was too expensive and I have tried everything under the sun, just about. So I got the Crystal Quest shower filter and countertop fluoride filter and I am very happy with both of them. The only problem is that I ordered the 6-stage fluoride filter and they sent me the regular fluoride filter, not a big deal I guess. I’m sure they would have replaced it for me, but I really wasn’t too worried about it. As far as effectiveness goes, its hard for me to say since I have no way of testing the water, but it tasted good no problems. The shower filter makes the water very soft and comforting and there is no more chlorine smell. Overall very happy with the purchase.
