OK - I confess - I merely found that link from a Google search and thought I would poke it at you.
I don't agree with any one brand, sect or denomination that claims to have the only true answers, and that certainly is true of the group that link came from.
I would have a hard time staying in a scripture quoting contest with most anyone, and I am not going to try here. But I do have some cherished favorites. Here are two of them:
"Do not despair at your tribulations, for they are My glory for you" - in which case, sometimes I feel awfully glorified
and
"Do not lift your head towards Me in prayer if you have unforgiveness in your heart, for I shall turn My head away and your prayers shall go unanswered."
- that one is a toughie for the "pick and choose Christians". You know who I am speaking of - those who like to selectively pick and choose scripture to justify their behavior and agenda without looking at ALL scripture and in many instances even while maintaining Biblical inerrancy! I know a lot of such folks, and believe me, there is a lot of unforgiveness going round in those circles!
Once again, I say that no way do I believe that man was born as an evil creature or that our hearts are corrupt from the very beginning. Why would any God of goodness create such a cruel thing. Not MY God! We are easily corrupted though and great is the evil that is intent on our corruption.
