You are doing the right thing by avoiding Ca(OH)2. Although, its alkalising, it can harm in long run, because its inorganic Calcium.
Please try to research more abt Baking Soda. Its very safe and cheap supplement, which draws poisons from the body. Instead of adding a pinch, u can safely take 1/2 tsp twice a day. When mixed with ACV or lemon juice, the sodium: potassium balance is not disturbed. So no fear that you are taking too much sodium. Most ppl are actually deficent in bi-carbonates, which is supplemented by taking BS.
