Ah, yes! Now I understand - thanks. If you are taking China and, say, North Korea as examples of government atheism, yes, I see your point very well. I would not want such government either. I am still unclear about how atheism is being taught in our schools and universities, though. I don't believe that the absence of one thing (religion) automaticaly makes for the promotion of another thing (atheism). Are there ways atheism is being taught, other than by omission of religion? One thing I have to admit is that it has been a while since I was in college, and even longer for gradeschool obviously (I am 46).
