Wow. THAT was pretty heavy-hitting. No pun intended.

I never thought of THAT.

Don't think mine had syphillis although that is a distinct possibility (and he got cured.) I have always been deeply aware that how he viewed women was paramount. It DID NOT MATTER that *I* knew my value came from GOD....that he would tell me, matter of factly, "I have value, you have NO VALUE"....his views of women were tainted. Deeply tainted by (drum roll).... p 0 r n o g r a p h y.

It has destroyed so many men (and women.) Also, his "1st time" was when he was taken as a young sailor to prostitutes. He went many times after that and he never loved a woman in any real way. (First wife was filthy rich. He doesn't fool me a bit with his "I loved her" crap. He can't really love, I don't think. I may not either but I don't think he can.)

I can dream, though! (It isn't always going to be like this. I may get a chance again some day.)
