The Mormons believe that Jesus travelled in South America. Everybody who is not satisfied with what Jesus did on the cross goes off into senseless tangents in order to present themselves to others as having an abundance of knowledge (albeit about senseless and controversial things). As poetic justice would have it, they not just become enthusiastic about also being able to massage the giant ego they created, but they also develop a need to rescue their self-esteem. This is why they care more than they should about where Jesus travelled and make up stories of possibilities like this. They NEED to convince us to care about the senseless things they care about (it is their only claim to fame). Rumors are one of the secrets of the god of confusion (not just lies, propoganda and misinformation). It is human nature that we tend to shy away from all truth because the truth is non-negotiable and confining. We must not care about silly things like the possibilities of Him travelling anywhere.
