i dont know who your post was in reference to (perhaps you should address them?) or maybe your just speaking in general terms, in which i say that in reply to your post
that i personally believe that one should walk through into the shadows to seek the TRUTH. it's only then that one can make up their OWN mind what they believe or NOT believe. i found that the 'tale' of Jesus living in india after his crucifixtion quite amusing for the author proclaims that he himself was a prophet of God, shall i go on.
there in so much truth in the bible and if it were not fragmented or not added to by man it would not be a problem to interpret if one had a true heart, unfortunately that is not so.
the q'ran is not written so, perhaps because of timeand even there it was
was not so straighforward for Mohammed was illiterate leaving his followers to write the Q'ran from the word of Allah through Mohammeds preachings.
so there you are btdt, each to his own. listening to preacher's from the pulpit and so-called scholars are not my forte', i personally took to the road in order in all sincerity to find the truth, i hope that someday that i will truly understand.
