Re: Wierd problem... the response to my email...

On an earlier post I wrote that I followed PTree's advice on researching kundalini energy, and that I would post my email's response if I ever got one. This was what they wrote back:

"There is a whole spectrum of kundalini-like symptoms, and your experiences certainly seem to fit into it. What is somewhat puzzling is that they take place in that twilight zone between sleep and waking. However, that is a
time in which the doorway to the unconscious is open, and there are people who see all sorts of vivid images then.

Clearly, these kinds of experiences can be frightening simply because they are so different from our normal waking lives, and they can spike off the fear that there is something wrong with us. But kundalini in itself is not
an indication of anything wrong. Rather, it seems to be a certain kind of development of the psyche. This development might actually be taking place in all of us, but it is usually hidden away and doesn't become the object
of conscious experience. There are any number of people, though, who do have these more overt kundalini-like experiences.

If you want to explore the question of what they are further, we can do that. In general you don't want them to become a problem in your life. This happens sometimes when people encourage them, but that doesn't seem to be
your case. In themselves they say nothing about religion. There is an excellent book by a Catholic, Philip St. Romain, who describes his spontaneous kundalini experiences. It is online, and you can find a link to
it on our website. Sincerely, Jim Arraj"

The website was: www.innerexplorations.com/ewtext/ke.htm

His view is conflicting with that of previous posts. He's saying I shouldn't encourage them because they will become a problem in my life. "In themselves they say nothing about religion." I'm not sure about this line, but I'm thinking that he's suggesting it has nothing to do with my exploring other spiritualities. Am I wrong in interpreting it in that sense?

Post your comments on what he had to say.
