Re: Wierd problem, hard to explain, what could it be?

I don't think I was doing anything out of the ordinary when these "episodes" started happening years ago. My day life wasn't any different, these "fits" only happened in my sleep. I can recall my first "fit" back when I was younger and it occured during a dream, so I was obviously asleep if I was dreaming, but afterwards they started happening when I was half awake/asleep and aware of my surroundings. At times I was afraid of going to sleep. What struck me as odd was the sheer panic and fear I was experiencing during the "fit" but as soon as it passed I didn't get up like a normal person would do, I just fell back into sleeping and then it would happen again, and again, like a broken record. My mom said she heard me making noises but couldn't understand. My friend said it could be epilepsy, but I don't suffer from seizures or epilepsy in the daytime, I never have. What could it be?
