Re: Does that mean I'm possessed or have been possessed?
Cathy,
No, it absolutely doesn't mean that you are or have been possessed! It is understandable that you are frightened by these experiences, particularly since you don't know what is causing them. Again, I encourage you to do some research so that you can develop a better understanding of spiritual experiences and the nature of energy and how it manifests. Mikey gave you some excellent advice. Your fear is causing you to resist what you are experiencing and you are scaring yourself further with terrifying possibilites of what this could mean. The reality is that you might be preventing a truly remarkable and transformative positive experience by resisting it so. Most spiritual traditions describe mystical experiences that are similar to what you are describing, and when allowed to unfold, result in very positive, healing experiences. They are not dark, nor the stuff of horror movies! However, fear and lack of understanding of these phenomenon can be quite uncomfortable and result in short-circuiting the positive consequences. If you are a religious person, these experiences may be contrary to anything that you have been taught. However, if you will dig a little deeper, virtually every religion has a more esoteric component that is consistent with mystical events. Some people are more sensitive to these events than others, but the potential is present within everyone. Believe it or not, some people have to do a lot of work to tap into this energy and would welcome the experiences that you are having! Increasing your understanding and allowing this to unfold can change the way you think and feel about these experiences. Obviously, resisting it is not working for you.
Regards,
Pam
