How ironic that such a negative statement would be made about witchcraft on a website that deals with natural healing and herbal remedies!!! Witches, or wiccans, were the master herbalists and functioned as healers and midwives in Europe and North America, similar to the Medicine Men of Native Americans. They...mostly women...were persecuted because their abilities were threatening to the power and control structures present at that time, including the growing medical community. Does this sound familiar?!
