Re: Clarification on Mother Mary - third reply
Hello. Good to talk with you again on this matter.
Remember, we humans are composed of body and soul. If the souls dies in God's friendship, it will be in Heaven. Forever in God's presence. Therefore, can that person truly be called dead?
Besides, Holy Mother Church has taught - and our Eastern Orthodox neighbors also believe this, if I'm not mistaken - that Our Lord took Mary, body and soul, into Heaven. Therefore, she is certainly NOT DEAD. And by God's merciful will, she is still praying for us as part of the Body of Christ.
We are commanded in Sacred Scripture to pray for one another. It is no less true for those in Heaven as it is for us on Earth. We are part of the one family of Christ, and loving family members look out for each other.
So regarding Mary and the Saints, permit me to offer these links to you for your further study.
