Re: McDonalds???
You know, I remember 3 or 4 years ago I was at a playground with my son (who is now 5). I remember two women talking about goldfish crackers and calling them "junk food". Well, back then I ate horribly! I remember being confused and offended at their conversation, since I (like most americans) thought that goldfish crackers were a healthy snack for toddlers.
After being enlightened and de-programmed (mostly through reading curezone posts, but by reading other web sites as well), I cannot believe I used to think that way! Now, almost anything that is not a raw fruit, veggie, or nut/seed is "junk food" to me:-! (I'm not saying I never eat "junk", but at least I am aware when I do.)
I currently do not know anyone who does not think I am crazy and extreme. I try not to make any comments about food to other people. The closest friend I have is one of those people who eats reasonably healthy (compared to other americans) and she thinks I'm nuts as well, though she tries not to make too many comments.
I just had my 34th birthday a few weeks ago. She baked me some chocolate cupcakes and gave me a card with pictures of cakes and such on it that told me to "indulge myself". I know she meant well.
Those who have not gone through a severe awakening truely do not understand us "extremists" when we call certain foods "junk". I think the people here on curezone are still divided and those of us who have already undergone the "transformation" need to try to be patient with those who have not, so we don't scare them away.
