Re: Help me get rid of scabies

The standard treatment for scabies is a topical medication called permethrin cream. This cream is applied to the entire body, from the neck down, and left on for 8 to 14 hours before being washed off. It is important to follow the instructions on the package carefully. In addition, everyone who lives in the same household as the person with scabies should be treated at the same time to prevent the mites from spreading.

After the first application of permethrin, a second application should be done one week later. All bedding, clothing, and towels used by the person with scabies should be machine-washed in hot water and dried in a hot dryer, or dry-cleaned, to kill any remaining mites. During this time, it may be helpful to wear loose-fitting clothing and avoid close contact with others.

In some cases, an oral medication such as ivermectin may also be prescribed. This medication is taken orally and is usually more effective than topical treatments. However, it is important to note that ivermectin can only be prescribed by a doctor. If you have scabies, it is important to seek medical attention to ensure proper treatment and to prevent any further spread of the mites.
