revelation has already happened. and will happen again. two keys to understanding it. one is that it is a scroll so it is written backwards and forwards. second, it is the revelation of what has been previously hidden about jesus christ - present and past tense. but it is also in the future because of those who are yet to come in christ.

"the four beasts" is best translated as the four living. and what are the four living?
