"Eggs produced by the adult ascarid are passed in the feces and can live for years in stalls, paddocks, and pastures. This increases the potential for spreading ascarid infections between horses or for re-infecting the original host animal."
I have millions of these eggs throughout my house, in the attic, even in my fridge along with other larvae stages and mites, and in the soil everywhere around the house. I unplugged the furnace since it blew eggs and small mites all over. The dogs and I are heavily infested with strongyloides. I guess that's why we didn't get better on Iver and Albendazole daily for months!! also Doxy (but the dogs were throwing up from it) because we were breathing and eating the eggs blowing everywhere by the AC then the heating. Articles I've read say the small strongyle is a growing and very serious problem to people and livestock, and is becoming resistant to neds. So Oh Happy Day...
