Cysts do not happen overnight and yes, they can be very painful. It will take 30 days of water only fast. If it does not go away then re-feed or 30 days and fast for 30 days again. Post fast diet is very important. If you are not already doing it, be on plant based diet.

I have one cyst on my left kidney, has never bothered me. Fasting helps a bit then it goes back to normal size.

It is a shame that you have to eat at an event. What is rich foods? For me rich foods are nutrient dense fruit and vegetables. I do not know why the world lives for eating instead of eating to live.

Anyway, I believe in following strict rules of fasting and not put anything in my mouth, including toothpaste or mouth washes.
