Re: Body turns iodide into iodine??? No iodine needed?

Yea maybe u really have problems turning Iodide into iodine.


I already take Lugols or Iodine since october 2013.

Today was the first time ever that i heard of the body turning Iodide into iodine.

So far i aaaaaaalways only read that the body needs both. Iodine and Iodide and thats why especially women have to take things like iodoral or lugols.


I even took Lugols on an empty stomach!!!! 100mg for so long coz i believed food etc turns Iodine into iodide. which is true but obviously doesnt matter.

If someone would ve told me that the body turns iodide into iodine anyways i d not ve been taking it as i did for so long .

Confused now

Prolly end up taking my 2,5 bottles of Lugols and my approx. 140 iodoral with vitamin c at the same time. Or just along with food.

Really wonder now why there even is such as lugols if normal ppl can change iodide into iodine.

But then.... Those who cant need iodine. But will never be able to use iodide for the thyroid??? Only ready iodine for tissues?
