Poop breath cured after feeling embarrassed for years, My breath smells like poo!

I just got my poop breath cured after feeling embarrassed for years. I do have gingivitis and yes I was getting tooth cleanings 4X a year but just the other day the doctor found a 5mm pocket next to a crown. The crown was aiding in the food packing I believe. The dentist for years told me to floss and use a water pick. I did that but since I recently got a job that I want to keep, I pushed the dentist to figure out where the poop smell is coming from. He took my crown off because that is what we thought it was but then the tooth next to it, is where we found the pocket. It would have been hard to reach with the crown on. I am not telling you to do this, but if you are super careful and follow the shape of your tooth you can use a tool that can clear under your gums somewhat. I believe I am more at risk because of gum receding so I use this tool to get under my gums. You can buy it at cvs and it comes with a mirror. I have to be really meticulous because there is space between my gums and my teeth where food gets stuck. Currently I have medicine in the pocket and there is no poop smell. Before if I used mouthwash or chewed gum the poop smell would flare up horribly. I know that it is working and we found the spot. I am also taking culturelle.
