You did what you thought was right at the time. I'm sorry you lost that money to someone whom you came to realize was not strong in faith. Perhaps money was what they had more faith in. What makes us angry is the fact that if all of that money was used to help to make another person see the error of their ways, we would be satisfied. In other words...money well spent....but when we see that we have suffered loss and the other person goes about their merry way, not learning anything from what God was trying to show them....it is very hard not to feel bitterness over it.
Your heart was right, please don't grieve over it. As far as the little ones who are abused...we must work together to protect them. Many times warning signs are there to let us know that we need to be watchful. If we didn't place pastors in such high places of perfectness in our minds, we could probably ward off much more of these crimes on children and adults alike.
God bless RidingHigh...I wish I had better advise to give to you, for there is still blessings in being with people of our own faith. I would hate for you to miss out on it.
PS...Someone could give that lady who doesn't save money a book by Dave Ramsey (instead of money). He is a wonderful christian financial advisor. He can teach people to take whatever little amount of money they have and responsibly get that person out of debt. I love to pass out his books to people....well, next to the bible that is.
